The Student Union Board of Governors (SUBOG) is the major programming board at the University of Connecticut – Storrs campus. SUBOG provides educational, entertaining, recreational and multicultural programs and events for the UConn community. Led by a President and four Vice Presidents, SUBOG coordinates events including, but not limited to, concerts, comedy shows, lectures, movies, special events and travel programs. The eight Committee Chairpersons work on programs from the ground up – from brainstorming ideas to negotiating contracts, from running the show to evaluating the program – with the help of volunteer committee members. The two Chairpersons of the Outreach Committee ensure the interests of the undergraduate student body are heard and promotes all SUBOG programs, events, and the organization as a whole.
