About Us
SUBOG stands for 'Student Union Board of Governors' and is the largest student-run programming board at the University of Connecticut. We are most known for bringing in major performers, comedians, and speakers including Khalid, Michael Che, and Stephen A. Smith as well as hosting traditional events like the Block Party, Homecoming, Halloweekend, weekly movies at the student union theater, Winter Weekend, the Food Truck Festival, One Ton Sundae, and the UCONNIC Music Festival.
As a whole, SUBOG holds 13 board members, 7 committees, 31 Vice Chairs, 5 advisors, and roughly 200 members that plan over 100 events, annually.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to serve the best interest of the student body through the enhancement of the educational, social, cultural, and recreational environment at the University of Connecticut, Storrs campus, and shall execute programs and events to fulfill this function
